IBFD is a leading International Tax Knowledge Centre. Its core business is research, publications and education in the area of cross-border and international taxation. IBFD has a strong international client base of specifically Fortune 500 companies, governments, international consultancy firms and tax advisers. Within IBFD there are 150 employees, from over 30 different nationalities. They are supported by a worldwide network of authors and correspondents who report on the latest tax developments which keep our tax publications updated with the latest information. IBFD carries out government consultancy projects and its International Tax Academy provides a wide range of courses on international taxation. Founded in 1938 and headquartered in Amsterdam, IBFD also has a local presence in important markets such as North America and Asia.
